Antique Paper Collages | 2004
This suite of collage works uses wrestling posters, wrappers, antique books sheets and Mexican documents from the 1800’s found in Mexico City and in one case part of an old photograph. Many of the papers have children’s scribbles or are scraps of paper with water or painting stains. After the construction of the images the works were highlighted or shaded to establish the space in the compositions.
