Pastel and Gesso Drawings from 1981 by Cecil Touchon
Going through the drawers of early works by Cecil Touchon we came across a number of interesting works on paper that are about 40 inches tall by 26 to 28 inches wide. Touchon’s technique was to first draw on the paper with pastels and then use a brush with water to move the pastel material around on the page. Touchon then filled the space between the marks with brush and gesso.
