I am an artist and I am pretty sure everyone reading this is an artist or a part of the creative community in general. We design the world that everybody else lives in. We collectively design the mind world, the Massurreality, the Zeitgeist, the Vibe that we all, as humanity share in. What we do has impact even if it seems to go unnoticed and under appreciated. That is a good thing really. Together we wield an amazing power. We design the future.
Since that is what we do, it would be a good thing if we respect that power that we wield and use it with great care and sensitivity. The creative community explores what is and what could be. To us it is just everyday life. Still, most people can’t do that. It is a special gift that we bring to the world. This is not to diminish any other human activity, they are all important and valuable and should also be done with great care and sensitivity. We are all depending on each other to be able do what we do in life with seriousness and discipline. Otherwise, things fall apart.
Our interconnectedness is an unimaginably complex web. Each one of us depends on all of us together doing our little part, holding our place that only each one of us can occupy.
If we are not attending to our part in life to play, the whole world is lesser because of it. If through negligence, negativity or carelessness we cause a tear in the fabric of this living web it soon spreads and enlarges hence the old saying; “A stitch in time saves nine.” Tears cause tears of unhappiness. Hence we must always be attentive to what we are doing and why we are doing it. Only we ourselves can be the judge of that.
Everything we do has an atmosphere or fragrance about it. If it is something done with engagement, joy or compassion, those qualities can be felt in its atmosphere. It attracts or repels based on this atmosphere. It holds its atmosphere through its depth of authenticity.
Authenticity is an inner quality. The deeper we penetrate to the depth of ourselves through enquiry and self investigation the more authentic our actions become and the more they resonate with others over time. This is the place we want to discover and operate from, our own unique position that only we ourselves can occupy responding to the ten thousand things all around us.
