I went out for a brunch at Blue Mesa Restaurant with Bill and Pam Campbell and a few of the other gallery artists on Sunday. While there I was surprised to see one of my older collages (above) from 1998 on view at the restaurant. Later in the day I went with my kids to have a couple of drinks with Karen, the mother of one of Brittany’s high school chums. Karen wanted me to sign a lovely painting of mine from the 1990’s (below) she had purchased from a former collector in Dallas. Somehow it had never been signed. The framing devise is made with antique music sheets.
On Tuesday evening I hung out with my son Zach and his wife Katia (who will be sworn in as a US citizen next month) for dinner and Katia pointed out an image from an article in Patron Magazine of Bill Campbell standing next to an early music painting of mine from a show many years ago, probably from the mid to late 1980’s or early 90’s. (below)
Then on Wednesday I drove over to Dallas and hung out the Ferraris at their gallery where I am represented and had the inaugural exhibition back in April which you may recall me mentioning at the time. That’s the update so far.
Sounds like a fun and interesting trip. Great artwork
