When I was much younger, I'd host these parties and invite all my friends, all which would most likely never get together on their own as they were all so individually different from one another yet made up as a whole, a lovely bunch of oddball characters from all sorts of backgrounds. Whatever differences each had never got in the way of their socializing. With my art, very few pieces may be about current happenings, but most of the work, I try to be universal in their meaning so that anyone looking at them can relate in some way or at least understand where I'm coming from in their meaning. I feel that if the work is too much about something political or current, it may get too dated in the future when that meaning has passed and no one remembers it any longer. Thanks for a great read again.
