We’re very excited to announce that Contemporary Collage Magazine will be hosting our first week long residency in London,
About the Week…
Dates : 25th May - 31st May 2025
The week-long residency has a very simple concept. Each artist arrives in London without any collage materials. Your challenge is to spend a week creating collage only with materials found or sourced in London. At the end of the week, we’ll be putting together a pop-up exhibition that will be open to the public, where you can sell your works (if you’d like to do that).
You’ll have your own workstation in an open space with fellow collage artists and each day there will be the opportunity to share your work and receive feedback from Les, Cecil and the wider group.

About your hosts…
Cecil Touchon
Cecil Touchon is one of the world’s leading collage artists. His work is instantly recognizable and has appeared in countless exhibitions and is housed in many prestigious collections. He is also the host of the popular ‘Touchonian’ Substack site.
Les Jones
Les is the creator and editor of Contemporary Collage Magazine. He is also a collage artist, professional photographer, designer, speaker and facilitator with over forty years experience of working within the creative sector. He is also the creator of Elsie Magazine - a one-man creative magazine.
Where is it all happening?
We’ve secured a great studio in Hackney Wick to host the week and exhibition
Hackney Wick is an up-and-coming area in London renowned for it’s creative culture and vibe. The area is full of street art, cool cafes and eclectic bars and restaurants. There is an overground station that takes you straight across to Stratford where you can catch the Central Line into the heart of the City. It’s the perfect location for our week. We’ll be based at Indra Studios - a large ground floor studio with buckets of natural light.

The cost for the week is:
£960 • $1175 • €1150 per person
