I was so glad my mom photographed all of her paintings. I inherited all of the family photos and this is part of the collection I treasure.

So good you found them on Etsy of all places!! And have them. Yay! Chuck was able to buy back one of his pieces at an estate sale last year. Saw it in photos of the upcoming sale on Instagram. And, Several years ago, someone who knew our son, found a large framed drawing of mine out by a trash can, retrieved it, and gave it to our son. It was from the late 70s! I have no idea why it was tossed but was happy to see it again.

I'm happy you were able to get your babies back! At first I thought it was weird to have to pay for your work but I totally get it and now they're back where they're safe. I do think of my own art as my offspring. Long ago I was horrified that one of my pieces ended up in the ownership of this insane woman who was part of this Werner Erhad cult as she tried to force us to pay for this birthday dinner we attended she invited us to. The birthday part was a ruse to cover up her trying to roundup people to join her cult. I was so livid with her I wrote her a nasty letter that I'd be more than happy to buy back my art piece from her as it didn't deserve to live with her. She didn't respond and I sulked for a long time knowing my art was in her possession. Anyway, I'm glad you got your early work back and to see and compare your work then to now. And to just merely have the originals in your possession.

Oh yeah EST. I remember that. Ah, the 70's.

Actually this was after EST, the late 80s or early 90s called 'The Forum" also by Erhard. It was some weird business thing, still a cult.
